Just a quick update - Bruce, the Forestry Commission's beat forester for the area, got in touch yesterday to say that his team is up at Leith Hill this week, and they will remove the fallen tree on Summer Lightning. Thanks, Bruce!

No no no no no!!! Please!!!! I used it to finally drum up the b*lls to get some air since some trail pixie or other had turned it into a ramp! It's a really good feature!!! Please leave it alone.
Do I have to get up a petitiion?

Thanks for the comment, Mike.
The problem is that Forestry is liable for what happens on the land, so if the tree (and the ramp) remains, they might have to shut the trail down rather than risk someone injuring themselves - there's no bail-out route from the jump, so someone changing their mind could well crash, and then they could sue.
